About rates, cost and coverage

Dear Friends, thank you for your numerous opinions concerning our services. One thing which is naturally very interesting is the rates; sure we listen to our customer feedback. We come up with new offers when the time is right and there is something exciting to offer. Hopefully you have noticed the latest offer called Ncell Pro which is pretty nice: by buying one the latest 3G handsets you get it fully loaded with Ncell SIM card, talk time and sms plus data package. Hope you like this! Some people are also saying that we favor always new customers but indeed, there are many nice goodies in the portfolio for old subscribers as well: once you have been with us for six months, you start getting bonus which mean lower rates for you automatically. This is fare both ways because registration of new SIM cards is a cost for us, SIM card is a cost money and so on. We really hope that we have more and more active and long term customers to serve...and give free minutes every now and then as you wish. On the other hand, we have invested beautiful amounts in the best network of Nepal to fulfill your demand of coverage and capacity and we need more of you to pay the investments in the long run. Thank you for being our customers. :)

Ncell Connect has been quite a success. Within a year after the introduction of the fastest internet in Nepal, we have become also the biggest Internet Service Provider in the country of Himalayas. Some of you also claim that we are Kathmandu centric when talking about the Connect. That is also somewhat thru. When we begun 3G investments, we did not know about the real demand for such a service. Therefore, we decided to concentrate in KTM first and build a good coverage and offer enough capacity at the capital. Once you have shown your growing interest towards Connect, we also started building more sites in other areas and cover some 18 cities already. The investments require pretty much money and time plus at the same time, we have to make sure that traditional 2G voice services also get their share. Anyway, we are happy that more and more of you buy our data packages; we can continue investments and offer more coverage in the future.

We had recently our TeliaSonera Eurasia networking event and I felt so proud in introducing our new set up for better service at Facebook for my 130 colleagues from other ventures around Asia and Europe. It feels so good to see our dedicated personnel to answer your request and problems in a professional manner. Thanks Ncell Customer Relations!

  1. Ncell Connect rate is really too high, either reduce the cost or increase the volume of data in same price, so that it would be more affordable. Or simply introduce the package specially meant for students.

  4. Sir, Why your company always focus on selling the new SIM and introduce new offers accordingly? wouldn't it better if you introduce the offer that expedient for all Ncell users equally!

  5. Dear Pasi,
Why Ncell always focus on selling the new SIM and introduce new offers for New sim only?
Im user of Ncell since 6 years..Not only me my whole family, 5 members...When we call ncell-ncell it cost Rs 2.47/min on sajilo tarrif but On Ntc-ntc prepaid it cost only Rs 1.86/min
So I think Ncell sud reduce its prepaid tarriff...

  6. call charges: fair enough.
Date charges: Way too expensive. even wth premium it costs almost 2.5 Rs per MB (after all costs). I use almost 200MB a month (checking mails, using maps, using social media etc.) as I am in constant move. This data is after I use internet at home, work(not via phone of course) and sometimes your ncell Connect. So my suggestion would be, your data charges need to evolve first and be affordable. Yes I spend more than Rs. 1000 in phone charges every month and I would be happy to be part of ncell pro but still, am holding back and your rival offers data charges at 1Rs per MB and call charges aren't that expensive as well.

    Culprit: data charges!

  7. i think, price of new sim Rs99/ is lower than the cost of production of new sim card its packaging, commision to dealer and you as have to give initial balance as well.but if it is only competiton to have more customer than NTC,its better otherwise it ll better and cost effective to change old customer to loyal customer.best of luck

  8. Ncell Pro iz expensive for normal user of Ncell....

  9. Totally agreed With Mr.Indiwar.
Ncell is only focussed to increase its subscribers. Please reduce your Data packs and offer student special packs. This will surely increase your permanent subscribers.offers like SIM+500MB free in Rs.100 only increases your sim sales, not your subscribers!!

Double the internet package keeping the same rates. Introduce 20 seconds pulse rate for ILD calls.

  11. ncell's internet in mobile is very expensive, it charges about rs.7 per mb and in ntc it charges about rs.1 per mb and there is no much difference in the speeds of 3g betwee them.

  12. I really thanks ncell for making new MRP for recharge cards, but Ncell should at least provide 2% commission to resellers,so that the consumer will get the card for MRP.

  15. Though the 2G network is good but Ncell Data connect is not reliable source of internet in Devighat Trisuli.. the network here is edge and the upper limit of data transfer is not more than 50Kbps. how can one be able to use internet service in villages and remote places with ncell connect?? Even a small sized page needs 15 to 20 minutes to open and sometimes the site doesnot open.. so Pasi please focus on Ncell Connect not only in Kathmandu But also Outside Kathmandu Valley...

I know you are trying to promote sajilo sim by introducing new offers. Why don't you simply revise the sajilo tariff to 1.49 per minute to all network? Ntc has already made 1.5 as its on-net tariff and 1.99 as its off-net tariff(ntc to ncell). All ntc users will switch to sajilo if you lower the tariff to 1.49.

  21. I support everyone, nepalese society cosists of middle class family, not the high class society that can afford your data charges and your pro offer, the data chalgers are beyond our capacity, so, the guys like me tries hard to find some faults with your network, y not to cut down the rates, when some one is ready to share your faults. Ncell quality is the best, but it must cut down charges, especiall data, that is also by much percent. Thanks.iddle class family, not the high class society that can afford your data charges and your pro offer, the data chalgers are beyond our capacity, so, the guys like me tries hard to find some faults with your network, y not to cut down the rates, when some one is ready to share your faults. 26. what about the bonus ncell provide to customers, arent we are receiving bonus in 100, 300,500 cards, also the we are not getting the full recharge amount, its rs 1-2 less

    ReplyDelete
  27. Dear c00l zzero
    Thank you for your comment.
Ncell is providing the bonus still on recharge more than Rs 100. The bonus depends upon the age of subscribers in our network and Amount being recharged.
Initially recharge cards were sold at the price - amount printed in card + taxes. But nowadays, we are selling the recharge card with the amount printed in card only. This means the amount which has been printed in the Recharge card has to be paid by subscriber to shopkeeper. And the tax will be deducted from amount printed in the card.
That is why when you recharge, you are getting bit less money than the amount printed in card.

    Regards,
    Marketing Team

  30. Dear Raju,
thank you for your comment. Sure, the sales channel is very important to us. But if customers are overcharged, we cannot support such a behaviour; it is very bad customer experience. They already should get their commission from dealers. The issue is that Ncell has no direct relationship with recharge point of sales. If you have an advise, I'd be happy to listen: please write me at ncellceo@gmail.com

  35. The cost of NCELL connect is very very very High
very hard to afford the cost...
most of neplese citizen cant afford that...
If you wanna say this is social service network then why dont you make the cost cheaper so that most of person afford that........
collecting Rs 1 benefit providing service to ten person is far better then collecting Rs 1 benefit providing service to one person....

  36. Can we get data pack by recharging in our regular sim? If yes how?

    ReplyDelete
  37. Dear Pradip,

Yes Ncell provides data packages for all prepaid tariff plans. After recharging, all the mobile internet users can activate a specific data package by sending SMS to 9009 specifying the package. For example send 100MB to 9009 in order to get 100MB surf. The tariffs are mentioned in the web page please follow the link:
